Level 1 Kayak Skills

The level 1 proficiency is an ICU (Irish Canoe Union) qualification. These courses are suitable for beginners and those with limited experience. They consist of 2 full days. Sessions run from 10:00am - 4:00 pm each day. Assessment for the ICU Level 1 Kayak Skills Award is included on the course.

 

Level 2 Kayak Skills

 

The courses are of introductory level and operate under the guidance of qualified Irish Canoe Union Instructors. Assessment for the ICU Level 2 Kayak Skills Award is included at the end of each course.

For people with some kayaking experience it is possible to progress directly to the level 2 award. The skills and strokes learned in this programme are a progression from level 1.

 

Kayak Skills Award Dates:
Level 1 - 11th/12th October
Level 1 - 15th/16th November
Level2 - 13th/14th December

With accommodation                                     €245

including, 2 x continental breakfast, 2 x packed lunch and 1 x three-course evening meal.
Accommodation prices are based on 2/3 sharing.  Single room supplement of €70 exists.
