Trekking
The Eclipse Centre offers off-road trekking as our speciality so you can really relax into your trek on our own trails beautifully situated against the stunning backdrop of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks. With trails suited to beginners through to experienced riders you have the opportunity to ride through moorland, meadow, forest, streams and rivers, with plenty of opportunity for cantering and galloping.
Hats are provided.
Eclipse stables are approved by AIRE, the Association of Irish Riding Establishments.
Lessons
From beginners through to advanced riders as well as specialist lessons in jumping and dressage. Lessons take place in our all-weather outdoor arena which has a surface of rubber chippings and sand.
Dressage clinics: We also offer clinics to help you prepare for events.
Group and private lessons are available.
Bring Your Own Horse: you are very welcome to bring your own horse to lessons and clinics.

We are running a 6 for 5 offer. Pay for five lessons in advance and you get a 6th lesson free of charge.
Pony Camps
Our pony camps should really be called Pony and Adventure camps as there is plenty of opportunity for participants to enjoy some of the other activities available at the Eclipse Centre such as kayaking, climbing, treasure hunts and archery. Our pony camps include:
- Beginners & improvers lessons
- Gymkhana games
- Picnic rides
- Stable management
- Swimming on ponies
- Competitions and BBQ

Bring Your Own Horse Holidays
Why not come and stay in one of our lovely holiday homes and bring your own horse or pony on holiday with you.
We charge a weekly livery rate and use of our arena and trails is included.
There are also lovely peaceful rides in the locality as well as on our own trails.
For groups of three or more we can organise day long trails into the local countryside.
Livery
Livery at Eclipse Stables:
We have 11 spacious stables in an exceptionally well-kept yard. Livery customers also have use of the large all-weather arena and the private trails around the Eclipse estate.
- Full, half and DIY livery available.
- Excellent, clean facilities with large stables.
- All weather outdoor arena 40m x 20m arena (sand and rubber chip).
- Horses cared for by qualified staff.
- Exercise, rehabilitation and schooling arranged on request.
- Grass turn-out.
- We also offer first class breaking, training and schooling from highly experienced staff.
